Elliot R. Schiff

Thomas Gorman
Tom, a founding member of the firm, previously was a partner in a 38 person law firm where he honed his jury trial skills on a variety of personal injury cases including automobile collisions, premises liability, wrongful death, medical negligence and product liability. An advocate of prompt resolutions where it will benefit his client, Tom has participated in pretrial mediation and arbitration matters where in the last two years he has successfully secured in excess of $2 million. Tom attributes his success for his clients in part to his prior work experience where insurance companies, trucking companies, physicians and manufacturers retained him to represent their interest. This has given him a unique perspective and a competitive advantage in representing injured plaintiffs. With years of experience, his understanding of defense strategy has enabled him to assist his clients in achieving significant results. A life time resident of Chicago's south-side, Tom knows a fair amount about competition. He earned a scholarship to play football at the University of Notre Dame starting on the 1988 National Championship team earning pre- season Academic All-American honors. Tom brings that same focus that brought him success on the gridiron to the competition of trial work. He also believes in giving back to those organizations that have made him successful as is noted in his Activities.
Stevan Krkljes
Steve was born raised on the south west side of Chicago attending Kelly High School. He later worked at various jobs to pay for his tuition while attending classes full time at the University of Illinois at Chicago securing a degree in Criminal Justice. In 1988, he completed his legal education at IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law and also was a member of the editorial board of the school's Law Review publication.
He has lived in various communities through the City and presently resides with his wife and three children in the northwest suburbs. He spent the first 12 years working extensively for companies and individuals who were sued for personal injury claims. Over the last eight years he has also developed his practice along with his partners to also include representation of injured persons in medical malpractice, trip and falls, and automobile collisions. His experience as a defense and plaintiff attorney has allowed him an opportunity better understand the opposition tactics and strategies and to resolve cases more quickly than would otherwise be true.
He is active as a trial attorney having participated in jury trials in Cook, Lake and DuPage County. He is a founding partner of the firm. Steve previously served as a Partner in a mid-size law firm
